Sausage and Broccoli Noodle Casserole

Ladies, this is one for the guys. My brother had a friend over on Monday, so I was cooking for three boys, and all of them dug in. My husband even wanted to go back for seconds. My mum and I liked it too, but the guys LOVED it. So if you’re looking to impressive hubby, give this recipe a try.

Sausage and Broccoli Noodle Casserole

1 pound of sausage (I used Johnsonville ground mild sausage and it was good)

1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese

1 jar of RAGU Cheesy! Classic Alfredo Sauce

8 ounces egg noodles

1/3 cup milk

1 package frozen chopped broccoli (thawed)

(recipe calls for 1/4 cup of Roasted Red Peppers too-chopped)


Oven temp: 350 degrees

Cook the sausage and the noodles. As for the broccoli, pull that out several hours before hand to thaw.

When your noodles and sausage are cooked, combine in a large bowl with the broccoli, Alfredo sauce, milk, cheese (only 3/4 of a cup), and peppers.  Add the milk and Alfredo sauce first, that way, the sauce is blended before mixing the other ingredients.

Now pour into a casserole dish (book recommends 13×9 inch dish). Make the mixture even and then put the remaining cheese on top.

Bake for 30 minutes. You want the cheese to be melted and the entire dish to be warm, after all, everything is already cooked.
